Goudargues and its surroundings

Le Prieuré d’Orniols is the ideal starting point for many outings.

Goudargues

The establishment of the village of Goudargues dates back to the 12th century. The monks traced canals to evacuate the water from the pond towards the valley of the Cèze. Their work allowed the cultivation of fertile plains essential to the development of the village.

Sources and canals now make it “the little Venice of the Gard”.

You will find in Goudargues all the amenities, restaurants and shops. The market is held there on Wednesday morning and Friday at night during the summer
